Stories are powerful…
About Jennifer Ziegler
Once upon a time...
in a castle far away across the sea, for a little while, lived a little girl, who was cautious and curious and loved flowers.
When, in time, this girl returned with her parents, back to the land from which they had come, she started the second grade where she learned that not everyone believes in TRUTH and that there are Important Rules that all citizens know. And … if one is to survive in this strange land, one must take care to follow the Rules or risk being cast out.
This collective wisdom was indeed so strong that over the years the little girl began to wonder if she really had lived in a castle…Did she perhaps make the whole thing up?
Sometimes the truth is hard to believe but that doesn’t make it any less true. And what is actually true … can make all the difference.
What if your story is actually much more magical than you have been allowing for? I remember the day that I all of a sudden realized that the reality that I had lived in a castle in Scotland (yes, the one pictured above) for 2 years when I was very young was not only factually true, but true in a much deeper way as well.
More than being a pastor’s wife or a therapist or a daughter, mother, sister… I am a daughter of the Most High King. And, that reality has made all the difference. It was like a magical shift, an aha moment, in which everything that always had been true, all the facts of my story, suddenly aligned in a way that I hadn’t quite recognized before. And this new perspective meant that I truly belonged, that I could stop trying to make myself fit.
If you know that feeling, of not fitting…
Of not knowing where you belong or what your purpose is, I specialize in helping women to reconnect with themselves and their truest story.
I’m a Chicago-based pastor’s wife and coach, who has spent the better part of the last decade learning how to help people experience that magical story shift.
Using the brain’s natural process of memory reconsolidation, I integrate brain based and somatic therapies, like Music, Art, Play, and Brainspotting within a faith-based perspective to help clients reshape their stories to support wholeness and growth. I create therapy retreats and coaching packages, customized to honor clients’ unique personalities and needs
C.S. Lewis once said of the human condition, “We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.”
What if the truth is actually like a holiday by the sea?
I’d love to help you discover your truest story.
