About Jennifer

A therapist, trauma specialist, and wellness practitioner, my current work focuses on the post traumatic growth and wellbeing of pastor’s wives and ministry professionals. I incorporate a wide range of science based practices into my work and am ever interested in learning new ways to effectively help my clients.

I am passionate about holistic healing and God’s amazing design that integrates of all of our bodies’ systems (emotional, spiritual, physical) to effect growth and change.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago with my pastor husband, our dog Emmi, and occasionally our sons (3 young men who are making their way in the world and kindly grace us with their presence now and then).

 FAQs

  • Because coaching is not considered a medical necessity, insurance coverage does not apply.

  • Coaching is simply the best way that I have found to come alongside, support, and guide people out of dark places. Healing trauma requires a unique combination of a practitioner’s skillset, relational safety, and a non pathologizing perspective. Cultivating coaching relationships allows me to effectively combine these elements, to be a co-laborer with you on mission, and to help you see changes as quickly as possible.

  • Change can take a long time. And, change can also happen in the blink of an eye. The amazing thing about recent studies on how our brains and bodies are designed to heal from trauma is that the brain’s natural process of memory reconsolidation can facilitate change much more quickly than we originally thought possible. Through coaching, consultations and trainings, I am delighted to share what I’ve learned about how to this most effectively.

  • If you’d like to learn more about how I do things or what it might feel like to work with me, you can schedule a free strategy call (in the section below). There is no expectation or obligation that you will purchase anything—I really just want to help you figure out what is the best way forward for you.

  • Coaching is definitely an investment of time, money and emotional energy. And…staying stuck is also an investment. The question is which investment will you choose?

Current pricing for my coaching and training packages can be discussed on your free strategy call or through my booking link.

If money is an issue (as it is for many ministry professionals), I have found that when asked, churches are often quite happy to invest in the health of their pastor’s family and staff.

I also offer payment plans (that show up on my booking site) and am regularly creating new options and resources, available at lower cost.

Dear Reader,

As a pastor’s wife for nearly three decades (and a pastor’s daughter, grand daughter, great grand daughter and niece), I know the ins and outs of church ministry. I’ve also had the privilege, in my years as a licensed therapist and trauma specialist, to work professionally with many wives of pastors and ministry professionals.

So… I know that it’s hard. And occasionally wonderful. And sometimes both at the same time. Being in ministry can be uniquely isolating. It’s normal to feel inadequate, sometimes even crushed under the weight of others’ expectations.

I’d like to recommend an alternative to the lonely struggle. Let’s work together to create a truer story so you can live and serve from a place of greater authenticity and wholeness. I offer coaching packages, especially for pastor’s wives and ministry professionals who feel exhausted and on the edge of burnout. I’d love to join your care team.

For Freedom and Joy,

Jennifer
